Emily Chong

Head of Tech, Communications Team - Regional Ambassadors Manager, UK

Why are you involved with WBLGN?

I’ve been deeply involved in lacrosse for over 30 years as a player, coach, and official, so when Women’s Box Lacrosse was introduced in the UK in 2022, I jumped at the opportunity to be part of it. With my Master’s degree in Digital Media and a passion for growing the game, I’ve been able to contribute by helping establish and manage WBLGN’s online presence. It’s been incredibly rewarding to support the development of this exciting sport and to help build a community around it.

What was your favourite Lacrosse moment?

My favourite moment was when Dana Dobbie and Ashley Bull made a surprise visit to our training session. Learning from them was incredibly inspiring—they shared so many valuable skills that truly elevated our game to the next level.

Fun Fact:

“I’ve swum from Spain to Africa, participated in ice swimming, and represented Hong Kong in triathlon.”

How are you involved in Box Lacrosse today?

I’m actively involved in box lacrosse by playing, coaching, helping players with their equipment, and encouraging girls and women to try the sport.

Favourite part about Box?

Cross check and dive shots!

Where do you want to see the women's box go?

Global domination! (It would be great to see all countries in all continents playing this great game)
