Volunteer Role Descriptions (WBOX GRIT)

Floor Manager
Help coordinate game flow, confirm schedules, and ensure referees and teams are ready. Requires calm, assertive communication.

Scorekeeper / Timekeeper
Run the clock, scoreboard, and fill in game sheets. Must be detail-oriented. Training provided.

Penalty Box Attendant
Track penalty times, manage player release. Works closely with timekeepers.

Statistician
Collects player and game stats. Good for someone with basic lacrosse knowledge and strong attention to detail.

Team Liaison
Assigned to a specific team, answers questions, helps with logistics, and supports team needs throughout the day.

Registration & Check-in
Greets players and teams at arrival, distributes lanyards/wristbands, checks forms, and gives welcome packets.

Player Services Desk
Mans the help desk for players needing info, directions, or minor support (e.g., lost and found, schedules).

First Aid Assistant
Supports professional medical staff by directing players to first aid or managing minor issues like ice packs.

Volunteer Check-In Crew
Manage volunteer arrivals, give instructions and shirts, tracks shifts, and coordinates breaks.

Hydration & Snack Station
Keeps water and snack stations stocked and clean for players and officials.

Social Media Support
Captures behind-the-scenes photos/videos, writes captions, shares stories using WBOX GRIT branding.

Livestream Assistant
Helps set up camera/mic, manages feed, and troubleshoots tech. Some experience preferred.

Announcer/DJ
Creates atmosphere during games with music and announcements. Confident public speaking a must.

Merchandise Booth
Sell tournament swag, handles transactions, and organizes stock.

Sponsor Support
Help set up sponsor booths, restocks materials, and gathers feedback or engagement stats.

Wayfinding / Info Booth
Helps guests and teams find locker rooms, bathrooms, seating, and important locations.

Ceremonies Crew
Assists with setup for opening, closing, and awards ceremonies—distributes medals, wrangles teams.
